That sound you hear

is the sound of a heavyweight gauntlet hitting the floor. I didn't believe the time, but I know I was a little "conservative" on the finish line. So there it was. 1:29.6, after stuffing themselves with hamburgers.

I'm really keyed up. I'm ready to watch the lights and heavys row at the same time. I'm ready to see what happens on long steady state rows. I'm ready to see who decides It's on first.

I think practice with these two boats will degenerate into a bar fight.

I'm ready for Tuesday. After two years, what I hoped for has come to pass: three experienced eights ready to push each other faster.

This is going to be really fun. It's on!

hey jay, how would we race, we both used the same boat and the chrysanthie (sp??) is not back yet??

Jay I don't think you need to wait for someone to decide "it's on." Because as we all already know, it is most definately already on. This is going to be a great year.

FINE, I guess we can use the Endurance if we REALLY need to.

Man you guys can even hook a motor up to your boat, but when we get down to it, its going to be hard to keep up in anything.

i can tell you one thing, it is most definately not off.

Let's hope everyone gets a chance to get excited about rowing again and not just the "heavyweight" and "lightweight" boats. There are certainly more than 16 boys rowing for FCCC.

You could say it's on but really its not "on" yet. According to south park we the lights "got served" so in order for it to be on we need to first sevre them back. But it wont be hard.

i compleatly agree. We have three boats and i think our JV 8 is gonna kick some major ass as well. Same goes for our novices.

Let me explane the "It's On" situation. Adam is indeed correct. The lightweights have been served. They now need to serve us back, if of course, they are up to the task. Then and only then will it officially be "on." But, once it is indeed "on," it will be all-encompassing. This means that all of the male rowers will be involved, giving everyone a chance to "step it up." I am excited for it to be officially "on" which I'm sure will happen very soon.

Me dreaming:
Think- some day in the spring we could have 5 eights (2 novi, JV, heavy, and light) full of guys out on the river pushing each other through jay's and jesse's practice. We would have the rowers and coxes spurring, not only their own boat, but also the other brothers further than they ever thought they could go. AAHHHHHH

I say we never slack amd try to be the The few, the happy few, who can say they have repeated as the champions of midwest scholastic rowing!

We still have to get another 8 first. And a couple more novii

I have a dream...
that one day, The Men's sector of FC rowing will be bigger than the women's.
I have a dream...
that one day, FC will sweep the points trophies at midwest.
I have a dream...
that one day, FC will send more eights and more fours to invites than any other competitor.

We need to keep recruiting novices. Speaking of which, Harrison Goldberg's brother, Reid, told me an interesting story. He said that although our girls team was something to be reckoned with, our guys team was less than impressive, and that the central catholic boats routinely beat us. Lets turn that around please.

What i meant to include in that last entry was that Central's novice coach, John Christ, was the one that told Reid this. I accidentally make it sound like it was Reid's thoughts.
